How to Buy Claude Code: Plan Prices and Paying from Russia

As of 2026-10-13 there is no standalone Claude Code plan: the official pricing page says "Claude Code is included in all paid plans" and that it shares the usage limits of the rest of your plan. The help center prices Pro at $20 per month (US), Max 5x at $100 and Max 20x at $200, in US dollars, with local-currency pricing only where supported. Russia is not in the official supported-location lists, and the monthly API credits bundled with Max and Team cannot be used for interactive Claude Code. The QCode route is unrelated to your subscription: an API key billed per token, ruble top-ups via СБП or a Russian bank card, and the balance credited in USD. Billed per token; per-model rates are listed on /models.

Four points that matter

$20 / $100 / $200

Pro / Max 5x / Max 20x per month

The help center prices Pro at $20 per month (US), Max 5x at $100 and Max 20x at $200, with local-currency pricing where supported. It also states that monthly pricing varies by region, and some regions include applicable taxes in the displayed price while others add tax at checkout.

not listed

Anthropic's supported-location lists

Russia is absent from the English list dated March 16, 2026, from its Russian version and from the API supported-regions list; the English list is alphabetical, and the row right after Romania is Rwanda, where Russia would sit.

rubles, minutes

СБП and Russian bank cards

In the Russian-language interface СБП, Russian bank cards and other local methods are offered: you pay in rubles, the amount is fixed at order creation using the CBR daily rate, and your balance is credited in USD. An СБП payment is completed by scanning a QR code in your bank app and usually lands within minutes.

one cr_ key

Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cline

The same key works on both the Anthropic protocol endpoint and the OpenAI protocol endpoint, and IDE extensions such as Cline too; Claude models run only on the Anthropic protocol endpoint, not on the OpenAI-compatible one.

What you actually buy

The answer as of 2026-10-13: there is no standalone Claude Code plan. The official pricing page reads "Claude Code is included in all paid plans" and adds "It shares the same usage limits as the rest of your plan"; the same page states that your activity across Claude on web, desktop, mobile, and Claude Code draws from the same set of limits. The help center also states "Both Pro and Max plans have a five-hour session limit and a weekly limit." On price, the help center lists Pro at $20 per month (US) while Max 5x and Max 20x are $100 and $200, with local-currency pricing only where supported. Subscription and API use are separate matters: the official wording is that a paid Claude subscription enhances your chat experience and the Claude API is billed separately, and the Pro plan does not include API usage through the Claude Console. The pricing page describes the Max benefit as "$100 to $200/month in API credits to build on the Claude Platform", yet the same help documentation says those credits cannot be used in Claude Code.

Official wording and page update dates

On the bundled credits the English help center says "Monthly API credits included with Max plans can’t be used in Claude Code or the Claude apps, including for extra usage.", and the Russian version of that article gives the same sentence in Russian: «Ежемесячные кредиты API, включенные в планы Max, не могут быть использованы в Claude Code или приложениях Claude, включая дополнительное использование.» Two further lines spell it out — "The credits don’t apply to:" followed by "Interactive Claude Code in the terminal, IDE, desktop, or web", and "They don't cover interactive Claude Code sessions or extra usage after you hit your plan's limits." Only Max and Team take part: "Free, Pro, and Enterprise plans aren't eligible." On the QCode side, the Russian payment page was updated 2026-10-08 and the docs page on subscription versus API key was updated 2026-09-18.

Three dates behind this page

2026-03-16

The date shown on the official supported-locations article: the list under "You can access Claude in the following locations:" has no Russia, and neither has the Russian version of the list or the API supported-regions list.

2026-09-18

The docs page comparing subscription and API key was updated this day; it states that Claude and GPT models on QCode run on our own per-token plan, unrelated to your subscription.

2026-10-08

The Russian-language payment page was updated this day; it says international cards, Russian bank cards (СБП among them) and cryptocurrency are available at the same time as three routes, with payment in rubles and the balance credited in USD.

Confirmed vs not verified

Confirmed (verbatim in the official pages)

Verifiable word for word on the official side: the pricing page states that Claude Code is included in all paid plans and shares the usage limits of the rest of the plan; the help center prices Pro at $20 per month (US), Max 5x at $100 and Max 20x at $200, and says monthly pricing varies by region, with some regions including applicable taxes in the displayed price and others adding tax at checkout, while the pricing page footnote states that prices shown don't include applicable tax and that plans and prices are subject to change at Anthropic's discretion; both Pro and Max have a five-hour session limit and a weekly limit; Russia is absent from the English list dated March 16, 2026, from its Russian version and from the API supported-regions list; monthly credits for the Claude Platform are included with Max and Team plans only, and they cannot be used for interactive Claude Code; Pro does not include API usage through the Claude Console, and the subscription is billed separately from the API. Verifiable on the QCode side: ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL https://api.qcode.cc/api with the /api/v1/messages path, Codex CLI base_url https://api.qcode.cc/openai with /openai/v1/responses, https://api.qcode.cc/openai/v1 for generic OpenAI-compatible tools, keys created in the dashboard with the cr_ prefix, СБП and Russian cards in the Russian interface — these options appear only when the interface language is Russian — and the two update dates 2026-09-18 and 2026-10-08.

Unverified and not published by the vendor

This page does not fill in the blanks: first, why the official lists omit Russia — the pages give no reason, so we only state that Russia is not listed. Second, subscription pricing for Russian users: the official figures are $20 / $100 / $200 for the US, with local-currency pricing only where supported and regional tax treatment that differs, so no ruble subscription price appears here. Third, your official subscription and your QCode balance are two parallel systems: a subscription you hold with Anthropic or OpenAI cannot be used on QCode and is not consumed by it, and usage on QCode does not affect the limits of your official subscription.

Two ways to run Claude Code

An Anthropic subscription (Pro or Max)

The subscription includes Claude Code and shares the same set of limits with chat; Pro is $20 per month (US), Max 5x $100 and Max 20x $200; both Pro and Max have a five-hour session limit and a weekly limit; the monthly API credits bundled with Max and Team cannot be used for interactive Claude Code, and Pro does not include API usage through the Claude Console.

A QCode pay-as-you-go API key

A prepaid balance drawn down per token, unrelated to your subscription; one cr_ key covers Claude Code, Codex CLI and Cline, with Claude models on the Anthropic protocol endpoint; in the Russian interface you can pay in rubles with СБП or a Russian bank card and the balance is credited in USD, alongside Visa / Mastercard / AMEX, Apple Pay / Google Pay, Alipay, WeChat Pay and cryptocurrency (many coins, many networks) — card and СБП payments are self-service and credit the balance as soon as payment completes, while crypto transfers are checked by hand after the on-chain transaction, so one small test transfer first is recommended. Billed per token; per-model rates are listed on /models.

From sign-up to first run

① Create an account on QCode.cc and make a key in the dashboard — it starts with cr_. ② Top up — in the Russian interface choose СБП (scan the QR in your bank app) or a Russian bank card, pay in rubles with the amount fixed at order creation at the CBR daily rate and the balance credited in USD; Visa / Mastercard / AMEX, Apple Pay / Google Pay, Alipay, WeChat Pay and cryptocurrency (many coins and networks) also work, all self-service: card and СБП payments credit the balance as soon as payment completes, while crypto transfers are checked by hand after the on-chain transaction, so one small test transfer first is recommended. ③ Set two environment variables — ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL to https://api.qcode.cc/api (no trailing slash) and your key in ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN; requests go to /api/v1/messages. ④ Put claude-opus-5-5, claude-sonnet-5-5 or claude-haiku-5-5 in the model field. ⑤ For Codex CLI set base_url to https://api.qcode.cc/openai (requests to /openai/v1/responses) and pick gpt-6.1-sol, gpt-6-sol, gpt-5.6-sol or gpt-5.6-terra, while generic OpenAI-compatible tools take https://api.qcode.cc/openai/v1 as the base. Claude models run only on the Anthropic protocol endpoint, and the setup takes five minutes.

On QCode

A route independent of your subscription: create a key with the cr_ prefix in the dashboard, set ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL to https://api.qcode.cc/api (no trailing slash) and put the key in ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN, with requests going to /api/v1/messages; set model to claude-opus-5-5, claude-sonnet-5-5 or claude-haiku-5-5, where /models notes claude-haiku-5-5 as the new Haiku Anthropic released on 2026-10-07. For Codex CLI set base_url to https://api.qcode.cc/openai (requests to /openai/v1/responses) and use https://api.qcode.cc/openai/v1 for generic OpenAI-compatible tools; Claude models run only on the Anthropic protocol endpoint. Payment in the Russian interface goes through СБП or a Russian bank card, you pay in rubles and the balance is credited in USD; international cards, wallet payments, Alipay, WeChat Pay and cryptocurrency also work — the whole flow is self-service, card and СБП payments credit the balance as soon as payment completes, while crypto transfers are checked by hand after the on-chain transaction, so one small test transfer first is recommended. The us.qcode.cc node sits in Los Angeles, serving North America and Europe. Setup takes five minutes. Billed per token; per-model rates are listed on /models.

Frequently asked questions

Can you buy Claude Code on its own?

No. The official pricing page says Claude Code is included in all paid plans and shares the same usage limits as the rest of your plan; the help center prices the plans behind it — Pro at $20 per month (US), Max 5x at $100 and Max 20x at $200 — with local-currency pricing only where supported.

How do I pay and get started from Russia?

With a QCode API key billed per token. In the Russian interface you can pay by СБП QR in your bank app or with a Russian bank card: you pay in rubles, the amount is fixed at order creation using the CBR daily rate, the balance is credited in USD, and СБП usually lands within minutes. Visa / Mastercard / AMEX, Apple Pay / Google Pay, Alipay, WeChat Pay and cryptocurrency (many coins and networks) also work; all of it is self-service: card and СБП payments credit the balance as soon as payment completes, while crypto transfers get a manual on-chain check, so one small test transfer first is recommended. International cards frequently get declined in Russia.

Can the monthly API credits from Max run Claude Code?

No. The help center states that monthly API credits included with Max plans cannot be used in Claude Code or the Claude apps, including for extra usage, and that they do not cover interactive Claude Code sessions; the monthly credits are included with Max and Team plans only.

Is Russia on the official supported-location list?

It is not listed. Russia appears in none of the three: the English list dated March 16, 2026, its Russian version, or the API supported-regions list; the English list is alphabetical, and the row right after Romania is Rwanda, where Russia would sit. This page reports the absence only and does not guess at a reason.

Does the Pro subscription include API usage?

No. The official page says the Pro plan does not include API usage through the Claude Console: a paid Claude subscription enhances your chat experience, and the Claude API is billed separately.

Does Claude Code lose features on a QCode key?

No. The local CLI features keep working as usual — chat, file edits, Bash, MCP, Skills, Plugins and subagents — and only two environment variables change: ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL set to https://api.qcode.cc/api and your key in ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN.
