Claude Team plan: price, seats and Claude Code
As of 2026-10-27, Claude Team is Anthropic's paid subscription for teams of 2–150: Standard costs $25 per seat per month ($20 billed annually) and Premium $125 ($100 billed annually), US prices excluding taxes; each seat is for one named individual.

Standard per seat per month
Annual billing $20, monthly $25; Premium is $100 annual or $125 monthly, and currency and tax vary by region.
Per-session usage vs Pro
Standard gives 1.25x the Pro plan's per-session usage allowance and Premium 6.25x; both seats have a weekly limit that applies across all models.

What Claude Team is
Claude Team is Anthropic's paid plan for the Claude chat experience, billed per seat, with a minimum of two members and a maximum of 150 seats; the account creator must use a business email address, and public domains such as @gmail.com are not accepted. Usage limits are per member, and unused usage cannot be transferred. Every Team seat includes Claude Code, with Premium seats simply offering more usage; Team also provides SSO and JIT, and Owners can prepay usage credits so members keep working after reaching a limit. Team is available only in certain supported locations: the Supported Regions Policy marked effective 2026-11-12 says any country or region not listed is unsupported and that use by persons physically located in an unsupported region counts as unsupported — as of 2026-10-27 the list does not include mainland China, Hong Kong or Russia.
Official changes and discounts in October 2026
An official article dated 2026-10-26 says verified nonprofits in low- and middle-income countries get standard Team seats at $3/user/month; the scientists plan charges $0 per user per month for Standard seats and $15 (or $180 per year with annual billing) for Premium, for 12 months and 1–25 seats per group; the startups cohort is full and not accepting new applications right now. The Claude Code help page fetched on 2026-10-27 shows “Updated today” and states that Claude Code is included with every Team plan seat.
Timeline
Anthropic publishes a Team update that lowers Standard and Premium seat prices and adds an annual discount.
The limited-time Fable 5 promotion ends on 2026-07-19 at 11:59:59 PM PT: Fable 5 on Pro and Team Standard seats then runs on usage credits, while Premium and Max count it toward weekly limits and allow up to 50%.
The new Usage Policy and Supported Regions Policy take effect (the pages are marked Effective Nov 12, 2026); as of 2026-10-27 they are published but not yet in force.
Confirmed vs. community reports
Confirmed (verifiable in official pages)
Each Team seat is assigned to one named individual: users cannot share login credentials, cannot route their work through another user's account to use that person's remaining usage, and unused usage cannot be transferred to another user. The Usage Policy marked effective 2026-11-12 bans “Resell, proxy, or otherwise provide access to Claude through unauthorized means” and access in violation of the Supported Regions Policy. If an organization is paused because of unusual activity, members see a notice when they sign in and can click Request a review.
Community reports and what is not published
As of 2026-10-27, Anthropic has not published any way to share one Team seat among several people. In a community forum thread a user reports that a Team organization was disabled and has not recovered; the post gives no reason (thread of 2026-10-14; the archived text is listed under sources).
Team vs Max, Enterprise and API
Team vs Max: usage and price structure
Max is an individual subscription: Max 5x costs $100 a month and Max 20x $200 a month, with 5x and 20x the Pro plan's per-session usage allowance. Team is billed per seat: Premium gives 6.25x the Pro allowance and Standard 1.25x, and Team limits are per member, while Max is a single-person account.
Team vs Enterprise / API: three separate bills
Enterprise adds SCIM, audit logs and custom data retention to Team; Team has SSO and JIT but no SCIM. Enterprise's seat fee covers access only, all usage is billed separately at API rates, and the minimum is 20 seats. Team's seat fee includes plan usage, and beyond it an Owner can prepay usage credits at standard API rates or claim the monthly API credit: $20 per Standard seat and $100 per Premium seat, pooled across the organization, capped at $500 a month and linked to a Console organization. A Team seat is not an API; API usage goes through the Console and is billed separately.
How to choose
1) One person: choose Pro or Max — Team requires at least two members and is not intended for individual use. 2) A team that needs central billing and SSO: choose Team, with Standard for regular members and Premium for heavy users. 3) Claude inside your own app, scripts or automation: use the API (Console) or a QCode API key — a Team seat login is not an API. Before deciding, check the list in the Supported Regions Policy.
Using QCode with a team

No. It is not for interactive Claude Code or extra usage in the Claude apps; the credit covers the Claude API, the Playground and Claude Managed Agents, and claude -p and the Claude Agent SDK when you run them yourself with an API key from the linked Console organization.
Can several people buy one Team seat and take turns using it?
No. Each seat is assigned to one named individual and only that person may use it; users cannot share logins, route work through another person's account to use their remaining usage, and Anthropic says reassigning a seat is not designed for rotating one seat among several active users. Sharing a seat can also fall under the Usage Policy's resell / proxy clause, and an organization can be paused because of unusual activity.
