Claude Code on a cloud server: pick a line, install the CLI, set your QCode key
As of 2026-10-19, yes: you can run Claude Code on a QCode cloud server, and model calls go through the QCode endpoint. The machine sits overseas, and the system and its data are yours to manage.

Four things to know
Claude Code needs only these two
One endpoint and one key: ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL points at the access endpoint, ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN holds the key from your dashboard. The official docs say this value gets a Bearer prefix.
Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, the United States, Germany
Hong Kong, Japan and Korea have several lines each; the United States and Germany have one each. The lines and the starting prices are in the comparison on qcode.cc/en/cloud.
Claude Code's own system requirements
These are the minimum requirements of Claude Code itself, not a specification of any cloud server: Ubuntu 20.04+ and 4 GB of RAM or more.
Priced by size
The 1-day trial is a paid one and the price depends on the size; when it ends the server is deleted and the data is not kept, and during the trial you can turn the trial server into a regular server from the panel.
What running Claude Code on a server looks like
As of 2026-10-19, a QCode cloud server is a KVM virtual machine. Install Claude Code on it and call models with your QCode key, through the QCode endpoint. To start Claude Code, change into the project directory and run claude; Claude Code reads the CLAUDE.md file in the project root at the start of every session. The permission mode of the session decides which actions Claude can take without asking you, and Shift+Tab switches it. It suits remote development, long-running agents, deployment and debugging, and one fixed environment for a team.
The vendor wording and the tool today (checked 2026-10-19)
Anthropic's docs say Claude Code takes the endpoint from one environment variable and the key from another, and that the key goes out as the value of the Authorization header. The one-click install page in the QCode docs says the script times the access domains, picks the fastest one, asks for the key, writes the configuration and finishes with a minimal request to check the connection. Cloud servers currently offer a Chinese and an English interface.
The timeline of this route
QCode cloud servers went on sale: the page says overseas cloud servers, online in minutes, 1 dedicated public IPv4, KVM and full root access.
QCode's docs centre updated the one-click setup page: the script times the access domains, picks the fastest one, asks for the key, writes the configuration and finishes with a minimal request to check the connection.
QCode's docs centre published the one-click setup page: the access configuration for Claude Code is done by that script, and it needs no administrator rights.
Confirmed vs not verified
Confirmed (from the pages checked that day)
All of this comes from the QCode pages checked on the same day: overseas cloud servers, online in minutes, KVM and full root access; log in with ssh root@ followed by the IP from the dashboard; no refund once the server is provisioned, and if provisioning fails or the server is not delivered within 2 hours of the order, the full amount goes back to your balance; terms of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, with one month renewed from your balance 3 days before expiry; not yet possible to change the line or upgrade the size online, so order another server for a different configuration; the server image does not include a hosting panel; spam, DDoS, scanning, mining and illegal content are forbidden, breaking the rules shuts the server down immediately and the money is not refunded; Alipay, WeChat, bank cards and cryptocurrency, with cloud servers and AI services sharing one account balance.
Not published
Anthropic's setup page gives only the minimum for running Claude Code; it does not say which size of machine suits a long-running agent. The QCode cloud server page currently offers a Chinese and an English interface and gives no date for other languages.
Your own machine vs a cloud server
Running it on your own machine
It suits being installed on your own computer, and when you are done with it you shut it down.
Keeping it on a cloud server
The machine is overseas; put the task into a tmux session and you return to the same session after the SSH connection drops.
Six steps from ordering to running
① Configure and order on qcode.cc/cloud: pick the region, the line, the size and the term (1, 3, 6 or 12 months) in that order, or start with the 1-day trial. ② Log in with the root password you set when ordering: ssh root@ followed by the IP from the dashboard. ③ Run the install command on the server: curl -fsSL https://qcode.cc/install/claude-code.sh | bash -s -- --lang en; have the cr_ key from your dashboard ready, because the script asks you to paste it and its prompts are in English. ④ The script writes the access configuration into your shell profile; to set it by hand, use export ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL="https://api.qcode.cc/api" and export ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN="cr_..." with no trailing slash. ⑤ Put long-running tasks into a tmux session, so you return to the same session after the SSH connection drops. ⑥ When you are done, stop the server or renew it from the dashboard.
On QCode
On the server, point Claude Code at the QCode endpoint (the install script writes the configuration, and you can also set it by hand): set ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL to https://api.qcode.cc/api and ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN to the cr_ key from your dashboard, filling it in up to the /api prefix and without a trailing slash. One key works across protocols: the key does not depend on the protocol (Claude models use the Anthropic interface, GPT models the OpenAI interfaces). Billed per token, with per-model rates on /models. If you do not want a monthly plan, Pay-as-you-go Packs start at $4 for a one-time quota you use within 7 to 90 days (top-ups start at $1); packs are non-refundable once purchased.
Frequently asked questions
How do I pay for a cloud server and how do I order one?
You order with the balance on your account: Alipay, WeChat, bank cards and cryptocurrency. Pick the size and the term, confirm the order; if provisioning fails, or the server is not delivered within 2 hours of the order, the full amount goes back to your balance.
How does the 1-day trial work?
During the trial you can turn it into a regular server from the panel by picking 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, and it then stays as a normal server. Each account can have only one trial server at a time.
Can I get a refund after the server is provisioned?
No refund once the server is provisioned. A server shut down for breaking the acceptable use policy is not refunded either; if provisioning fails, or the server is not delivered within 2 hours of the order, the full amount goes back to your balance.
Does the server renew itself when the term ends?
It follows the choice you made at order time. With automatic renewal on, one month is renewed from your balance 3 days before expiry; we remind you early if the balance is short, and if the renewal cannot be charged the term simply ends. You can also renew by hand in the panel at any time.
How do I keep a task running after the SSH connection drops?
Run the task inside a tmux session. The tmux manual says each session is persistent and survives accidental disconnection, and tmux attach brings you back to the same session.
How much does Claude Code need on a cloud server?
Claude Code itself asks for Ubuntu 20.04+ and 4 GB of RAM or more, the minimum stated on Anthropic's official setup page; 4 GB is only the starting point. These are the requirements of Claude Code itself, not a specification of any cloud server.

Everything here was checked on 2026-10-19: the cloud server rules against the qcode.cc/cloud page and its terms of the same day, the endpoint against the QCode docs, and the Claude Code variables and system requirements against Anthropic's official docs. The starting price is what the line comparison on qcode.cc/en/cloud shows, and model availability is whatever /models shows.
